With the panel off, I tested the lock, and tested the handles (inside and outside), and everything functioned as expected. I was quite pleased. I closed and opened the door numerous times and it worked just fine. Buttoned up the door panel and was good to go. The first time she drove it, she couldn't get out of it. It just wont open from in or out. It sounds to me that you have one or more broken plastic clips inside your doors. You will need to get the doors open and the door panels off so you can see which clips you need to get and I'd check the junk yard first before going to the dealer to see if you can get some more clips to replace those that are broken in your car.

Had a friend try to open the passenger door over the weekend and it wouldn't open and appears to be locked shut. Won't open from the outside or the inside. The car central locking works, and yet the door lock still doesn't appear to shut when the central locking is used, though the three other doors lock.
I've had a look through a few threads and have seen people unable to open from either inside OR outside, but never both
Any idea's how I can sort this? To make matters worse, MOT is due in a week and will be an instant fail :-(
